'Sarah was so ecstatic with her haul (she’d cleaned the supermarket out of tins, toilet roll and bottled water) that she was completely oblivious to Mrs Bates shuffling in to do her daily shop. Mr & Mrs Bates didn’t have much money so couldn’t afford to do a big weekly shop and besides, they liked the routine and knew all the cashiers by name. Mrs Bates was so upset when she learned that there was literally nothing left in the supermarket (except a dented can of kidney beans and a stick of wilted celery) that she came over all peculiar and had to be revived in the staff room with some smelling salts and a sweet cup of tea.'
Miss Selfish is an example of the sculptures I have been creating from sourced ceramic figurines, polymer clay and dolls house items. Each one is a comment on the panic buying we have experienced with the advent of the Coronavirus. Each piece is bespoke and made to order. Please contact me for a commission.
